Your life will ultimately come down to what your thoughts make about it and I promise, You are absolutely enough. Happiness will never be measures by what you have, but by what You are… You can lose what you have, but you will never lose what You are. Embrace and enjoy Your life as journey: What’s greater; a life of happiness? Or a few moments in life we wait for to experience that happiness?
The choices we make and the journey we take will determine our levels of joy and fulfilment. But in an ever-changing world, it is unlikely that we will follow one path of happiness. It’s challenging to keep up with how fast the human race evolves at this point in time. We are very different people to whom we were a decade ago, and it is likely in another decade we will be very different again. We may have a different passion, different lifestyles, different relationships, different careers, different hobbies, and it is almost certain there will be even more things that demand our time.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the multiplex of the mind and ‘daily’ compartments that we fail to look at the bigger picture of our life, our journey and our destiny. We need to take a moment to step outside of ourselves and then we might just notice that it was a series of fortunate events strung together that created our present moment.
Jim Carrey said, “our need for acceptance can make us feel alone in this world.”
Nelson Mandela reflects profoundly on the moment he was set free from spending a quarter of his life imprisoned: “As I walked out the door towards the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.”
The irony in the concept that a lot of people possess in wishing they had more time in life but waste the time we’re given. Our culture change has shifted so much that we live in a cyber world, controlled by interruptions and our addiction to distractions. We have been brainwashed into believing that technology will save us time, but in reality, we sped up our lives, making our attention more easily accessible to others and creating more anxiety in our days.
There are moments that define your life one way or another. In this case, I was one decision away from changing my life, or one decision away from ending it. The real reason I became teetotal then, is because I consciously choose to feel fucking amazing every single day. This was my metamorphosis. I lived in depression, and I absolutely refuse to go back there!
